Welcome to The Postpartum Revolution.

This podcast was born from what I’ve seen and heard time and time again as a pelvic health physical therapist the many ways our system has failed postpartum people in the United States.

Newly postpartum people have come to me asking the same questions, fear in their eyes and exhaustion written all over their bodies. Too often, they’ve been met with reassurance that “this is just part of the process” or “it’s normal to feel this way.”

I started to wonder - what kind of normal process leaves people feeling scared, depleted, and unsupported? While not everyone has a negative experience with childbirth or postpartum, many do. And those experiences don’t happen in a vacuum.

There are many factors that influence postpartum recovery: understanding how the body heals, access to community and financial support, and how well our society supports growing families as a whole.

My goal with this podcast is to provide education around postpartum recovery so you can feel more informed, empowered, and supported as you return to the things that bring you joy.

I also want to bring awareness to the larger, systemic challenges that pregnant and postpartum people face, because meaningful change doesn’t happen in isolation. By talking about these issues collectively, we can begin to shift our culture and create a healthier, more supportive experience for future generations.

We have lost power in the birth and postpartum world, and that loss has directly benefited others. It’s time to take back power over our bodies, our births, and our postpartum health.

We are the change we’ve been waiting for.

Let’s go!
